Messkonzept GmbH to present new products at ACHEMA 2018 in Frankfurt

Messkonzept GmbH is proud to announce the presentation of products and solutions in the field of industrial gas analysis at ACHEMA 2018.

The highlights of this year’s exhibition will be the newly developed FTC400 – the fruit of several years of research and development – as well as two new transmitters, FTC130 for extractive measurements and FTC160 for non-extractive measurements.

Introduction of FTC400 with integrated infrared measurement

The FTC400 compact gas analyser offers precise and reliable process monitoring based on the principle of thermal conductivity plus integrated selective infrared measurement of CO2, CH4, CO, H2O and other IR-active gases. In addition to (quasi-) binary gas mixtures of, inter alia, H2, He, Ne, Ar, N2, Kr, O2, CH4, CO2, NH3 and SF6, complex gas mixtures can also be analysed online by means of cross-sensitivity compensation. H2 in natural gas or biogas, for example, can be accurately determined. Of course, the concentrations of the IR-active gases can also be displayed and read out. The FTC400 is designed in enclosure IP65 and is specified for absolute sample gas pressures of up to 2 bar. A version for higher sample gas pressures is available on request. The FTC series operates without reference gases, even at the smallest measuring ranges of e.g. 0 vol.% – 0.5 vol.% of H2 in N2.

Transmitter for extractive and non- – extractive measurements

The two small transmitters, FTC130 for extractive measurements and FTC160 for non-extractive measurements, are based on the thermal conductivity principle. The transmitters have an IP65 rating and are recommended for the precise, fast and sensitive measurement of (quasi-) binary gas mixtures, if a display of the measured value on site is not required. The gas path is made of stainless steel and is pressure-resistant up to 20 bar. Linearizations of up to 16 gas mixtures are stored in the device for easy adjustment to changing measuring requirements. Variants with protection against condensation, dust and corrosion enable the use of the analyser under harsh process conditions. For the FTC130, the adjustment on the device can be initiated by means of protected pushbuttons. Both transmitters provide comfortable parameterization, visualization and adjustment through the PC interface SetApp2.0. A potential-free output of 4-20mA as well as a RS232/485 interface enable the reading of measured values and remote control of the devices.
